Day 1
Start with an early breakfast and briefing, then depart from Arusha or Moshi to Marangu Gate for registration. Begin your trek through the rainforest to Mandara Hut, with an optional side trip to the Maundi Crater for stunning views of the Kenya-Tanzania border area. Watch for wildlife, including Colobus monkeys and various bird species.

Day 2
Ascend through moorland to the Horombo Hut. This area offers great views of the Mawenzi and Kibo peaks, though altitude sickness may start to affect you.

Day 3
Prepare for summit day by hiking towards the saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. This is the final stretch before the summit, passing through alpine desert terrain.

Day 4
Start your ascent around midnight towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro. This is a challenging climb, with steep, rocky paths leading to the summit in extreme cold and darkness. After summiting, descend to Kibo for lunch and continue to Horombo Hut.
Elevation: 15,400 ft. to 19,300 ft. (summit) then back to 12,100 ft.

Day 5
After breakfast, descend back through the Marangu Route, crossing moorland and rainforest until reaching Marangu Gate. At the gate, you'll receive your summit certificate before heading back to your hotel.
